Hello, Bin Weevils. This post is by beano150, and this blog post is about my review of this month on Bin Weevils. Remember, all thoughts and opinions are mine. Enjoy the blog post!
The first section of the blog post is promoting a new School Nest Item Set. I think this is a good Nest Item set, although I do believe Bin Weevils could at least release an actual school into the Binscape. However, they may, as no one knows for sure as of now, but it looks to me like this will just be a Nest Item Set without a new location. The other day, Bin Weevils posted a sneak peak of the whole set but only for Bin Tycoons. I'm giving you the opportunity to see the set whether you're a Bin Tycoon or not, so here you go!:
The next highlight on the blog post showcases the Time Portal acting "suspicious". Many people, including myself will know about Under The Bin's protests to bring back Kips Scrapyard... and it looks like the result is... the area is finally returning, at last! Although I am expecting the area not to be on the map, if it just goes into the Time Portal, at least the area has still returned.
The third highlight announced is "Bin Tycoon Exclusive Content - VIP Limited Access". I'm not sure if this is one thing, or the exclusive content will be separated from the limited access. I personally believe this is one thing, so I have put them together for this section. The "Limited Access" area looks suspiciously like... or exactly the same as the Water Park from the Bin Weevils Summer Fair in 2015. Unless Bin Weevils plan to introduce a new "Island", as unicron7022 has been saying they will work on something "better than Tycoon Island" in the future to compensate the dismiss of the location, I don't see this as a good thing. It's just going to be the same... and the Water Park was from the SUMMER Fair, we're in January. Summer is months away! As I have said, however, perhaps it is a new island? That would explain the clouds in the image... and the Water Park would possibly be to "replace" the Slime Pool. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
The next thing we have featured on the February Highlights blog post, is a Pirates VS The Deep App advertisement, to promote people to play the game. I have to say, the game does look good - I have recently ordered an Android Tablet so I can try the apps, including the most recent one advertised in January, "Snakes In Space". It seems we will be getting a Pirates VS The Deep Nest Item Set, we got a Nest Item Set recently for the Snakes In Space App, too.
Apparently, February 10th 2016 is Umbrella Day, hence why this is the next highlight to be featured on the post. I personally have never heard of this celebration, and after doing a Google search, I found several results for the celebration. So it seems this IS a legitimate celebration (by that I mean not a celebration Bin Weevils have made up). However, all that seems to be happening for this occasion is promoting the hats & a flash mob. Maybe new Umbrella hats will come? According to the blog post, a sale on hats will be processed through the game.
The next highlight is a promotion, Roald Dahl 100 is coming to Flem Manor Library soon. I guess we can expect the usual book extract, competition & possibly a pairs game soon, as pretty much all Flem Manor Library promotions contain just those mentioned features now.
Next up, we have an "Awesome Art Contest" coming soon. Due to Fan Art Of The Week already making a comeback last week, I don't really see the point in this. But who knows? The prize could be much better than Mulch and a Trophy. Let's just wait and see!
There will finally be another Guest Blogger Contest soon, according to the blog post. As long as this is for our reviews of a Bin Weevils feature, perhaps the update to the Time Portal... and not to review a promotion, I'm quite happy with this.
Finally, we are receiving 3 more promotions to the game. Firstly, Lego Friends is returning to the Binscape... I guess we will have the usual promotional games. Then we will have Stephanie Guest Blogs... oh. That'll be the Guest Blogger Contest featured in the above section, then, a promotional one. Lastly, the Wild Hearts Camp is coming soon.
Overall, February isn't a bad month for Bin Weevils in my opinion. We are receiving 6 (including the app as it's made by the Bin Weevils team) Bin Weevils activities (5 if the art contest is promotional), and 5 promotions. An even month!
Thank you for reading my review of this month on Bin Weevils.
