Hi there, Weevils! It's beano150 here with another review. This time I will be reviewing the November update on Weevil World, so here goes!
As you can see in the images above (you can click on them to zoom), Weevil World has now received a feature that was much anticipated on Bin Weevils, automatic weather updating!
This feature works by giving you a weather forecast board, which is updated weekly. This is accessed by clicking or tapping on the weather forecast balloon, located on the main street in the game. For November, a set of colourful bathroom items is released every time there is a rainbow in the sky. I personally think this is a nice touch as bright colours associate with rainbows, and this also ties in with the November 'best dressed' competition (more on that later in the post). One thing I would change about this set of items, however, is the fact every item costs Dosh. Now, I have no objection on charging Dosh for some items but every item in the set (so far) that I have seen costs Dosh. To make it even and fair, a few items should cost Mulch and the rest cost Dosh.
As well as what I've gone through so far, Weevil World has also received a nice 'Brilliant Britain' Holiday Home item set. To accompany this, a Brilliant Britain outfit has also been released in the Clothes shop. You can see a preview of this, as I'm wearing the Brilliant Britain shirt in the screenshots I have provided above.
The next part of the update is a Best Dressed competition where players must dress to impress with a colourful look during November to be in with a chance of winning an exclusive 'Best Dressed' item and a rainbow hoodie. I have to say I like the idea of this and a bunch of the same already previously available clothes have been re-released in the Clothes shop but with different colours. I can only assume this is because of how this competition works. One thing I would improve here is have a colour wheel on the clothes instead, like in Nestco on Bin Weevils. This would save excessive walking and browsing time in the shop. Winter clothes are also scheduled to be released, which will hopefully be colourful as well, therefore counting towards the competition.
Finally, we have been treated with a few new options in the settings:
As you can see, we are now able to set our buddy requests to be turned off or turned on, whichever you prefer. As well as this you can set game invites to buddies only, everyone, or block them completely.
One thing I will say is the game invites feature is brilliant, as I don't get spammed with game requests from the several newly registered Weevils that are all over the game (no offence intended; in fact a lot of the newly registered Weevils can be very competitive and enjoyable to play games with). The buddy requests feature only applies to Weevil World which means people can still send you requests via Bin Weevils. If this is made to apply to both games or the feature was introduced to Bin Weevils as well, this would work better and solve the annoyance issue of receiving buddy requests when your list is full.
To conclude, this update is rather good. There are a few things that could be improved a bit, which I have mentioned where necessary in the post, but overall this is a great update.
Until next time!
Howdy, Weevils! An exciting Saturday update has rolled out on Weevil World. It is now possible to purchase Dosh top ups directly within the Weevil World app - and compared to the Bin Weevils website available top ups, the Weevil World options are priced better. Here are the prices:
As you can see, the cheapest option on Weevil World is £1.99. This seems like more than Bin Weevils but if you look at it another way, it really isn't. Setting you down just £1.99 will credit 150 Dosh into your Weevil account, whereas £2 (2 x 10 Dosh top ups) on Bin Weevils only gets you 20. £4.99, which is really just £1.04 more than the second option on Bin Weevils gets you 375 Dosh, £3.95 is only worth a 50 Dosh top up with Bin Weevils. If you decide to push out to just under £10, you will get 1000 Dosh on Weevil World or 150 Dosh on Bin Weevils. And if you want to break the bank for just below £20, you'll be given 2,500 Dosh when purchased with Weevil World or 360 Dosh with Bin Weevils.
Note: The £9.99 option on Weevil World may become 750 Dosh and the £19.99 option could become 1,500. These have strikes through what I assume to be the "normal" top up amount, and these might just be introductory offers - it is unclear at this moment in time.
From a chat with unicron7022 recently, he confirmed Dosh top ups and membership are going to be featured in the app:
So there you have it. Membership may well be the next thing coming in terms of in-app purchases. I wonder if this will be cheaper than the Bin Weevils Dosh top ups, or if the prices on the Bin Weevils membership page will be changed to match the new prices on Weevil World? I only hope so.
The fact the Dosh is cheaper on Weevil World (or, at least, better value for money) is a good thing. There are other advantages of the in-app purchases for Dosh on Weevil World as well, including...
- It's more convenient, you can pay from your phone or tablet within an app, no need to log-into the Bin Weevils website on your phone, tablet, laptop.
- It has more payment methods; PayPal, phone billing (like O2 Billing), Google Play credit or simply just your bank card registered with your Google Play account (sorry, Apple users, I don't know how your billing methods work!)
Will I be using this Dosh top up feature? Well, that depends. If I run low on Dosh and really want an item(s) or clothing, that I cannot afford, then maybe. But I try not to spend too much money on app purchases, so maybe I'll use my Google Opinion Rewards credit for Dosh top ups instead.
Thanks for reading!
Hi there, Weevils! It is beano150 here and have I got a scoop for you (well, two actually, but let's go through this one first)!
The latest issue of BEANO NEWS just went live - issue#176 is available in-game now and is published by me (beano150). This is a very special issue... why is that, I hear you ask? Well, it has a very special gigantic ten page story inside it! Read the synopsis of it above and see a special preview. Doesn't the cover just invite you into the magazine, though? :P Log in to your Bin Weevils account now and read the magazine! It's a story you cannot miss, even if I do say so myself.
Next scoop? Okay then. Here goes nothing...
...I'VE ONLY GONE AND DONE IT - I HAVE WON THE BEST DRESSED COMPETITION ON WEEVIL WORLD!
Want proof? Sure thing. Here's screenshots of the popup I got from my session playing Weevil World earlier today (and you can view this yourself using the new newspaper slideshow feature in the game itself):
How awesome is that? I was the first winner showcased on the selection of winners, and I have the plaque displayed in my Halloween Holiday Home!
55 Pixels team, if you are reading this, thank you so much for choosing me as a winner! :)
Thanks for reading, see you in the next post and in the next issue of Beano News!
Welcome to October!
Things are about to get seriously spooky in the Binscape and tropical island we all know and love... that is Bin Weevils and Weevil World!
We are now ten months into the year (I know right, can you believe it?!) and it is less than half a year until Christmas and the new year!
October sure does look to be a fun month packed with awesomeness. So, let's get right into the October highlights review for Bin Weevils & Weevil World!
Starting with Weevil World first, this October looks like a great month of spooky fun!
Spooky Scenery will be added to Weevil World... so darkness will fall across the land, as October spirits take command!
Secondly, ghoulish clothing will be released every single week throughout October. This is sure to be something to log in for! As suggested in the image background, it looks like six clothing outfits and/or accessories will be released this month. Nice (but don't quote me on that, no official announcement of how many outfits will be released per week has been made yet)!
Thirdly, this is a tie-in with the clothing. If you dress to impress with a unique spooky style using the new clothing, you could win an exclusive spooky best dressed winner plaque! Winners will be announced weekly, so good luck!
Fourthly, eerie 'gothic' items will be released every (w)eeek!
The fifth highlight for Weevil World is an item naming contest. You could win a prize pack and be credited in the item description when it goes on sale, by helping to name the skeleton bird. Click here if you wish to enter!
Overall, I give this month 5 stars as it would be true to say none of this has happened on Weevil World before because, well, it is the first Halloween celebrated on Weevil World since the game officially opened in June this year. I can't wait for all of the spooky fun to start, and the best bit? I will be able to celebrate later this month when I'll be on holiday... because I have the app! Awesome!
Now, even though Weevil World looks like a great month, sadly I don't say the same for Bin Weevils this year. Yes, I do enjoy the content on the game, and yes, that means I like Manic Manor, Spooky Science, Witches Cafe and everything else on it. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no new content that I notice this year that is different to the 2016 event. I feel the team could have prepared some new Nest Items for Bin Weevils at least, but at least Weevil World will be a good month and those who haven't experienced Bin Weevils' Halloween party before (the new players) will enjoy it. This month, I give Bin Weevils a total rating of 2.5 for the Halloween plans.
Please remember the purpose of this post is to share my own opinion and of course you are entitled to your own.
Thank you for reading my review, see you in the next post!
Now you know about this cool Weevil World update, why not log into Weevil World today? You can find the web client version to play worldwide here, and using your smart devices in the UK you can download the Android version here, and the Apple version here.
Weevil World uses your existing Bin Weevils account (that's if you've got one!) so there's no need to register for a new one. Just log in using the same details you use to log into Bin Weevils and start exploring a whole new Weevily World today!
If you see me whilst playing Weevil World, ask me for a game - you can even click on my profile to request a game session with me directly. I'd love to play!
Hi there, Weevils! It's Beano150 here and it's time for a brand new blog post on Bin Weevils Cheat Site. It's my review for you!
In the order as listed in the above picture, let's begin the review!
First up we have buddy messenger multiplayer games. Although these haven't been advertised as "brand new" here, they have on the Google Play 'WHAT'S NEW?' description:
As you can see, the game has been advertised as a 'brand new 2 player game'. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure noughts and crosses was originally introduced to Bin Weevils Connect in 2016, I would also like to see these introduced to the buddy messenger on Bin Weevils, not just Weevil World and Connect.
Next we have the 'Transformers Robots In Disguise Fun Continues', I won't go into this too much, but I don't really go to the cinema on Weevil World (unless clicked by mistake), and when I have checked, I've not seen new outfits or noticed anything new there, since this was included in the July and August highlights also. If the cinema does get noticeably updated, by which I mean it's easy to know there is new items or something inside (probably by a blog post informing of this), then I will more likely than not go and collect them.
Moving on now, we have the Clothes store... at long last! So, you can go and dress up however you like. The first batch of clothes are here, and more will be released throughout September! The clothes store is of course a major update, and it has been closed for more than enough time. Here is my Weevil dressed up at the time of typing this post:
I really like the Clothes store, and you can change your Weevil with the 'Edit' icon on your profile (check it out for yourself!) - it's still coming soon for app users, but if you use the web client it should be all set up for you right now!
That's all for Weevil World. Now let's focus on Bin Weevils.
SUPERSAURS is coming on September 19th with a "Scavenger hunt", which will more likely than not just be a hunt with 50 Mulch for each item you find.
The Bin Weevils Summer Fair, as usual, will be continuing throughout September. The Bin The Ball winner is likely to be announced soon. In my opinion I think the Summer Fair should have had new items at least, I get the team are busy on Weevil World however I feel some new items would have been possible.
Hem's Haturdays is again continuing, I'd rather have puzzles back myself at the weekends where we can unlock in-game rewards.
Best Nest Bonus is back, I guess there is no harm in including a code with each issue as a 'free gift', like a real magazine usually has. I myself want these codes to unlock Dosh, rather than XP (a total of 400 XP is given away with Best Nest and Garden of the Week every week so there would be no point) or reused items. Mulch would be okay but I have plenty of that already.
Scribbles' Birthday is back for September, which I am guessing will be the same sort of thing as how they celebrated last year. The Nest Items are likely to be the same as the items from last year, as last year it said 'NEW Scribbles Nest Items', this year they have replaced 'NEW' with the word 'COOL'. The graphics are exactly the same as the September 2016 post. It would be nice to win a membership though, although I don't know if those with existing membership packages (like myself who now pays annually) will be able to enter.
Talk Like A Pirate Day would be good if the Pirate Party returned but I guess this will just be a flash mob.
Well, that is all for my review. I give this month a 3 star rating, but I do like the Clothes store and cannot wait for more clothes to be added.
Thank you for reading my review, be sure to leave a comment and have a great day!
Hi there, Weevils! It's Beano150 here and next month it will be my Birthday! As stated above, I will be hosting a party either at the end of July or in early August to celebrate (before the 5th as I will be busy having the time of my life all day on my Birthday)!
Who says you can't have kid-style fun when you're not a kid? Teachers, perhaps... they don't know there's a thing called "being a kid at heart"! Luckily, you'll be seeing NONE of those pesky teachers all Summer thanks to the wonderful thing, that is Summer holidays!
So when the date of my party gets posted on this website in the coming weeks, pop it in your diary and be sure to attend. I need this party to be the biggest plaza party I've ever attended, so be sure to tell your buddies about it too!
Before I sign off, I have just one more thing to mention. The date will also be mentioned on the Twitter feeds @BWCheatSite and @beano160 when it is officially confirmed. Dates may change, but only if something else really serious (and boring) pops up.
See you in the next post... and in the Binscape!
Hi there, Weevils. It's Beano150 here and have I got a scoop for you?
A load of updates have recently been introduced to the wonderful tropical island, that is Weevil World.
As you can see in the above image, new kitchen items have been released. Using the web client (www.weevilworld.com) version of the game? No need to do anything, you can go and enjoy those new items right now! Using the app version? If you want to purchase the new items through the app, you will need to update to the latest version.
As well as items, the following has been released:
What's that, you say? You want even more exciting Weevil World news? Well, you're in luck... the 55 Pixels team have released information about a new competition just for Weevil World nest decorators!
Here's the details:
The Weevil Community Team, that's Maybee, drewbian and unicron7022, will be visiting the colourful tropical island on Weevil World on selected dates in July to visit as many Holiday Homes as possible. Weevils with Holiday Homes the Community Team are most impressed with will be featured on Weevil News in a blog post, winning a special shopping spree prize pack (Note: not everyone who enters is guaranteed to win)!
So, what better time to start brushing up on your decorative skills?
If you want to impress a specific member of the Weevil Community Team, you're in luck! Each member of the team will be visiting on their own day each week in July, rather than all members visiting on one day itself. Here are the dates and times:
The Bin Weevils Community Team have prepared a gallery of their Holiday Homes too, just in case you need a little inspiration. Check it out!:
What's the prize, you ask? Why, it's the ability to go on a mega shopping spree on Bin Weevils and/or Weevil World, of course!
By the way, you can nab 1000 Mulch and 10 Dosh by completing either of these two puzzles (both will unlock the same code), just click on each puzzle to zoom in and unlock your free Mulch and Dosh top up!
If you're stuck and give up, you can reveal the code below and enter the code into the Mystery Code Machine outside Lab's Lab or the Secret Code Box at the bottom of the screen (when logged into Bin Weevils).
My word, with all the Weevil World excitement squeezed into this post, this website should be called 'Bin Weevils and Weevil World Cheat Site', but that title seems a bit long! :P
Thanks for reading! Until the next time, stay Weevily!
Howdy, everyone! It's Beano150 here and welcome to my Weevil World home! In this blog post, I'll be showing you my Weevily wonderful home in Weevil World. Enjoy!
