The first highlight featured in the blog post for us this April is the (presumably) final part of Hunt's Mystery Egg. Now, I can't really say anything about it yet - since it isn't due for a week. However, I did enjoy the blog post story-parts on the Weevil News Blog. They reminded me of the old Bin Weevils "Choose Your Own Path" books, which I used to love. And that platform game was decent, something like that (but a longer version) in-game would be good.
Now, the second highlight featured is 'The Big Bloom'. The logo (featured above) looks eye-catching, so let's find out what this is, then. As Garden Inspector says, "Mysterious buds are sprouting up ALL OVER THE BINSCAPE!" - hmm... could this be a hunt where if you find the seeds around the Binscape you get whichever seeds you find... and if you find them all, you get something like a new seed that you can't find elsewhere, or a Tink's Tree for your garden? Something better would be access to a VIP Garden Party for Tycoons. You know... like the Celebrity Party we once had. That was the best! In The Big Bloom there's also rare seeds on sale, Garden Inspector's top tips and super-sized plants. Awesome!
For the third event in the highlights post, we find out that Weevils all over the Binscape will soon be able to reach level 80. You can pop over to Weevil News too, where you'll find out how to enter the trophy design competition (I entered mine).
The fourth event is the hats you love are becoming available in brand new colours. Now, this would be good even if they just put a few more hats in different colours in Hem's Hats. However, a few Weevils have been suggesting a "colour slider" (like the one in your Nest to change the colour of nest rooms when there's no wallpaper up). This would be good, as you'd be able to have more freedom in choosing colours for hats. I doubt the following would happen, but they could make all (or, maybe half) of the hats for non-tycoons and lock the colour-slider for hats only to Tycoons. It would be something else added to the Tycoon package, after all!
The fifth event is Lego City has once again returned to the Binscape. You can play games, enter a competition, collect Lego City Nest Items etc, as with all promotions. Although I have to say, some promotions are in my opinion good, it just depends what the games are to me, how they are operated (such as keyboard or mouse clicking options), and if they're controlled on Bin Weevils or linked to another site. I prefer them to be on Bin Weevils as presumably, from another site, you'd be able to find that game there before the promotion even came to Bin Weevils.
The Angry Birds Movie is the sixth instalment for April. As it's coming 'this month', it could come any day. However, most likely it will just be a movie trailer, 20,000 Mulch competition, and a pairs game, or something. I can't really say anything though, since the promotion hasn't actually come onto Bin Weevils yet.
The seventh and final event in this months highlights blog post is a 5 a day "celebration" - Nest Items coming soon based on fruit. The showcased items here are: A pineapple, an apple, cherry and orange bed, a blueberry light (I think), a banana bath, an apple TV, a Kiwi... toilet? Stay tuned for these items on sale in-game soon!
Overall, this month looks decent to me. The events I am looking forward to the most are finding out what is inside Hunt's Mystery Egg, The Big Bloom and the showcased winners for the level trophy design competition.
